What to Expect

Tier 1

A progressive and structured curriculum, rooted in hip hop and commercial dance, that takes you from theory and technique to application, to a professionally filmed concept video (choreographed by SOG director’s Kelly Gammie and Queenie Seguban). All while building a toolbox to help you get more out of your training process. Programming is facilitated by Kelly and Queenie and features guest workshops with an all star faculty (TBA), movement and mindset training, lessons and discussions about musicality, style, portfolio building and pursuing the art of dance/navigating the dance industry. This is a stand alone program OR the first step in our graduated program!

Tier 2

Tier 2 continues to progressively build on Tier 1 concepts while focusing on self-responsibility in your training practice, expanding your “learn how to learn” toolbox and diving into live performance techniques. Also included: a mock audition and an introduction to choreography and collaboration. Tier 2 will additionally offer 3 guest workshops and an opportunity to perform live at the #FORTHELADIES showcase. Participants will be asked about their personal goals and what concepts/styles they would like to further explore upon registration.

Tier 3

Tier 3 dives deeper into the dancer’s personal goals while also introducing creation and collaboration techniques. This tier is heavily programmed based on the the unique needs and goals of those registered. Dancers will also have the opportunity to learn from 3 guest mentors, perform at #FORTHELADIES showcase and participate in a guided individual project (optional).
